“ | It was inevitable. Our massive preparation have gone on far too long for us to simply stand down. We were like a coiled spring, ready to throw ourselves into the fray. All we waited for was one word: Attack! Spirits were high and the men joked about how we will crush the enemy with one fell stroke. But some didn't laugh. They have been to Afghanistan. They knew war. | ” |

Debriefing[]
West Berlin has been liberated from an unjust foreign occupation and you performed commendably, comrade lieutenant. Army Command has expressed misgivings about excessive damage to the 17th June Street, but the fact that you managed to secure the city by noon makes up for this minor failing. If we keep this effort up, we will ensure a swift end to the war.
Medals[]
Order for Service of the Homeland Bestowed for exemplary service to the Motherland during the liberation of West Berlin. |
Order of Bogdan Khmelnitsky Bestowed for a display of exceptional bravery and resourcefulness when aiding a comrade with much needed anti-aircraft support during the battle for West Berlin. |
For the Liberation of Berlin Awarded to those fortunate comrades who participated in the liberation of Berlin - an act which has led to the unification of the once divided German capital. |
Trivia[]
- While controlling the Spetsnaz infantry in the first section of the mission, the player cannot move them and roam freely outside the camp. The prohibited areas will be indicated with the No-symbol cursor hovering on them and the Spetsnaz will not abide your orders upon attempting to do a move-order on these areas, chastising the player by saying that these orders would mean suicide.
- The same roaming-prohibited function also occurs in the second part of the mission when the player controls the four T-80Us, where the player is not allowed to move their tanks on the east side of the main avenue until they will have heavy anti-air vehicle reinforcements.
- Two of the four enemy heavy artillery vehicles near a large building across the Moltke Bridge are scripted to be invulnerable to all forms of damage.
- The initial heavy tanks that the player will control start with the second highest rank, making them significantly more powerful, durable, and valuable to have. It is advised to keep them alive throughout the battle.
